Consumables for you OKI Printer
We chose the OKI printers because they are reliable, good quality printers. We note that OKI have a strong commitment to the environment. We also particularly like their ability to handle extra long prints – they are the only laser printers currently on the market which will print up to 1.2m in length. Plus, OKI have been very keen to be involved with our development process, and have been very helpful, particularly while we were developing the media.

Conumables are essential in the running of your printers, so it is important that you have the right consumables for your machine. Oki consumables consist of 4 different components for colour printers;
Toners
In a colour printer there are 4 toner cartridges; C - Cyan | Y - Yellow | M - Magenta | K - Black
The toner is placed onto the media by the drum and is then fused to the paper by the fuser unit, this is what creates the image on the media.

Drums
The toner is placed onto the drums inside the printer. The drums place the toner on the media in the correct place and with the correct amount. Having the correct drums, and in good working order is essential to keep a high quality of printing as they are the contact point between toner and media. As with toner, there will be 4 different drums inside each printer, one for each colour.

Fuser Unit
Once the toner has been placed onto the print media, it will come to the fuser. The fuser effectively melts the toner onto the media, creating a dry and finished look, and preventing the toner from smears or smudge. This is the final part of the printing process and one of the most important. It is vital that the fuser is working properly to get the best quality finish from printing, without smudges.

Transfer Belt
Through the printing process, the belt transports the media which is being printed to. The media travels along the belt and passes the drums and the fuser, which transfers the print. An incorrect or faulty belt can cause paper jams or lower quality prints. If the belt has a bad fault it can also damage other parts of the printer, so having a belt in good working order will help to protect the whole machine.
